About Beyond The Bump
Hi! I'm Lara
As a Registered Nurse and mom living in Fredericton, New Brunswick, I know the challenges that parents face in Canada. I created Beyond The Bump Education because of the challenges I personally faced, and because of everything I see new and expecting parents struggling with all of the time.
I am a mom to a very busy toddler, a newborn, and a tireless dog. I am also a wife, and I have a Bachelor's degree in Nursing with over a decade of experience.
I have worked across Canada in Labour and Delivery, Community Health in Northern Outpost, teaching for the University of New Brunswick, and in Emergency Rooms - since 2018 Beyond The Bump (and Momming) has been my full-time job. As an RN practicing in New Brunswick, I must adhere to the Canadian Nursing Code of Ethics and the New Brunswick Standards of Nursing Practice for all prenatal and postpartum health care provided.

Lara began Beyond The Bump in 2019 after having her son and struggling to find enough resources in New Brunswick. Because of this, and her decade of nursing experience, advocacy and education are two of Lara's priorities in her care. She strives to provide all of her clients with a sense of safety and comfort using evidence-based and trauma-informed models of care.
Lara provides Birth and Lactation support in Southern New Brunswick.
